The Opportunity

With growing demand for our unique approach Body Smart is growing rapidly and we have a new opportunity for driven Occupational Therapists to join our team of like-minded professionals. You will be working from our industry leading rehab clinics and across the local community. You will be responsible for providing assessment and interventions for a diverse caseload; working with clients working towards maximising their independence, health and wellbeing.  

 

Due to demand, we have opportunities available at our Caboolture, Ipswich, Sunnybank, Redcliffe and Beenleigh clinics.  

 

Your day to day will include- 

  • Assessing and planning guidance for clients to maximise their level of function, capacity and social engagement
  • Prescribing assistive technology equipment and recommendations and provision of ongoing therapy support for NDIS participants
  • Reporting outcomes and recommendations, written and verbal, in a timely manner and to a high standard.
  • Promoting health and wellness solutions and supporting optimal mental and physical outcomes for clients.
  • Liaising with clients, families, referrers, doctors to achieve coordinated outcomes.
  • Delivery of occupational therapy interventions and Home Safety Assessments
  • Communicating and Working together with other members of our multidisciplinary allied health team to achieve optimal client care
  • Achieving clinic KPIs

 

About you

Confident with a strong attention to detail and organisation skills to effectively manage your caseload, you'll be able to assess and treat a broad range of clients and conditions. Making effective clinical decisions without being afraid to ask for advice or support as needed.

Genuinely friendly and passionate about supporting each individual, your well developed interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to build trust, rapport and strong relationships with clients, their families and the community. You will also be comfortable using and learning new technology including online tools for reporting, communication and collaboration. 

It is essential that you hold current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
